Welcome to our Spa/Hot Tub removal and disposal page. We provide an affordable hot tub removal/disposal solution. We have moved and disposed of more hot tubs than I can remember. It is not a job for an amateur. Below are some of the methods of disposal that we offer and sometimes, have no choice but to offer one of these by default.
The easiest method of "haul away" would be to place the hot tub on a dolly and wheel it onto our trailer. This process is the quickest and most affordable.
Unfortunately we cannot always move hot tubs the easy way. Sometimes the side gates are too narrow or the rain gutters/house roof hang too low. Sometimes a crane is needed in order to move your hot tub from back to front/front to back. However, sometimes we are unable to call a crane company (we do not provide crane service, we always work with your local crane company, read below) due to road limitations, the road might be too narrow, too steep or might have too many power lines. Crane companies have heavy restrictions sometimes.
If we are unable to move the hot tub with a dolly (due to pathway limitations) and are also unable to hire a crane company due to road limitations, we will then need to saw/cut the hot tub into pieces. This is the most time consuming process of all. Depending on the size of the hot tub, it can take 1 to 3.5hrs to cut into parts small enough to fit through the narrow pathway.
Crane Companies: Although we do not have a crane and operator, we have collected a list of companies over the years that are the most affordable. Crane companies require us to be on site to strap, guide and unstrap the hot tub, then place it where it needs to be placed. The crane company will only move it from the front to the back, they will not move it to the exact spot and alight it.

Here we see a junk spa removal via dolly. This location was extremely tight. We barely made it by less than 1 inch! If it were 1 inch narrower, we would have needed to bring out the Sawzall to cut up the spa. Luckily our team of professionals was able to make it work. Once we passed the narrowest point, we were then faced with gravel. Although our all terrain dolly can handle tough situations, this one required the assistance of wooden planks.

Impact: Spa Removal via Crane
If your spa was craned over, it will most likely need to be craned back out. In some cases, the property does not provide us with enough space to use our spa dollies due to narrow pathways, low hanging gutters or roofs, trees, plants etc....
Crane service is outsourced to your local crane operators. Since we cover such a large area in Southern California, we need to check in with crane service providers that are local to you. They usually do not travel past 20-40 miles, but each company has different limits so we would check in with them (we can assist in searching for a local crane service free of charge). Currently, the most affordable crane service has been Willingham Crane in Reseda. They average anywhere from $300-500 (about $250-$500 lower than most!).
We help the crane company elevate/raise the spa so that they can set the straps in. Once the spa has been transferred over, we help them remove their straps and set it onto our spa dolly.
You will need to pay the crane service providers directly. We do not charge for or make a commission on crane services. We're here to help you keep cost down and provide a positive spa moving experience.

Luna's Spa Movers offer free spa removal services. In order to qualify for a free removal, we need the following information.
1. Pictures of the spa. We need pictures of the exterior and interior (the shell).
2. We need to know if it is working.
*Does the pump work?
*Does the heater work?
We would need to verify that the jets work and verify that the spa heats up to 104 degrees.
3. Can we pick it up using a spa dolly or is a crane service needed?
Once we receive pictures and more information, we will be able to determine if we can pick up the spa for free.
Note: Not all spas quality for free removals. Sometimes a spa is in excellent cosmetic condition but needs a new heater etc...
